Color matching activity

Image
During morning meeting we read the book "Planting a Rainbow" by Lois Ehlert. We used the rainbow of colors within the book as a matching activity. Friends were given a piece of colored construction paper, as I read through the story, if they had the corresponding color they saw within the story, they matched it another piece of construction paper on the meeting rug. We repeated the activity multiple times, as friends were given different colors to match.

Pom- pom activity!

Jack really enjoyed counting the pom poms as he added more to the tape.  During morning playtime, we used the sticky side of masking tape with poms poms to create a fun and engaging activity. Friends enjoyed lining up, counting, and sticking and re-sticking the pom poms on the tape. We even used pieces of construction paper to create a rainbow!
